The troop meets most Mondays from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm in the Scout Hut, located in the rear parking lot of our sponsoring organization St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 2061 Patton Chapel Rd, Hoover, Alabama.
Meeting activities are planned by the Scouts and include learning outdoor skills, working on merit badges, planning trips and other projects of interest to the Scouts. Please drop in at any of our meetings and get to know us.
You don't need to call before you come, but if you want to confirm we are meeting, you can contact the Scoutmaster, Mr. Skip Ford, at 205-937-5312.
Scouting includes frequent outings and we do an outing every month except for December. The outings include backpacking, biking, canoeing, caving, climbing, rafting, skiing and many other fun troop building activities. See our calendar for what is happening this month.
The troop usually spends the first week of June at Camp Sequoyah in
Delta, Alabama, camping in tents and enjoying the many challenges and
adventures offered at this established Boy Scout camp. Wednesday nights
are highlighted by a visit from our troop families who bring dinner and
good cheer.
The troop usually takes a high adventure outing in the summer. Our high adventures go to places like Philmont, Northern Tier, Seabase, Yellowstone and the Buffalo River.
