Troop 226 - Hoover Alabama

Scouts BSA Troop 226 meets from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm at the Scout Hut on most Tuesdays. The Scout Hut is located in the rear parking lot of our sponsoring organization, St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 2061 Patton Chapel Rd, Hoover, Alabama 35216.

Meeting activities are planned by the Scouts and include learning outdoor skills, working on merit badges, planning trips and other projects of interest to the Scouts. Please drop in at any of our meetings and get to know us.

Scouting includes frequent outings and we do an outing every month except for December. The outings include backpacking, biking, canoeing, caving, climbing, river rafting, snow skiing, camping, and many other fun troop building activities. See our calendar to find out what is happening this month. See our Facebook page to find out what we've been doing.

WEEK LONG SUMMER CAMP

The troop usually spends the first week of June at Camp Sequoyah in Delta, Alabama, camping in tents and enjoying the many challenges and adventures offered at this established Boy Scout camp. Wednesday nights are highlighted by a visit from our troop families who bring dinner and good cheer. Don't forget to bring your summer camp essentials!

HIGH ADVENTURE

The troop usually takes a high adventure outing in the summer. Our high adventures go to places like Philmont, Northern Tier, Seabase, Yellowstone and the Buffalo National River.

MOUNTAIN SCOUT CHRISTMAS TREE SALE

The troop participates in the Mountain Scout Christmas Tree Sale as our yearly fund raiser. Our scouts participate in the setup, working, and cleanup of the Christmas tree lot.
