Troop 226 camped at Oak Mountain State Park on July 18-19, 2008. The troop brought along canoes (Thank you Mr. Graham!) to enable the completion of the Canoeing Merit Badge . Scouts in the Eagle-bound program at summer camp worked on requirements for Tenderfoot, 2nd Class and 1st Class ranks. The scouts camped overnight at Oak Mountain after eating hobo dinners and dutch oven strawberry cobbler. Saturday, after a breakfast of pancakes and sausage (boys) and french toast (adults), they worked the canoeing skills part of the canoeing merit badge and enjoyed a swim in the lake. Photos of the campout are in the gallery. |
